This project finds its inspiration in the shapes and volumes of my daily environment. The A6 frame of the paper allows me to confront and merge architectural elements and geological forms into one standardised medium. Quatre Couleurs is a conversion of these nonscaled compositions into the physical world. The graphic qualities of the illustrations and the satisfaction of the process are translated into physically tangible and functional furniture through the realm of product design.

  • Chlore Cocktail
  • Graduation project
    Mosaic tiles & tile adhesive
    2020

It is a line of furniture that explores the visual and evocative power of mosaic tiles. Every element is using the tiles as a unit of construction, so they can emancipate from their usual context while carrying the aesthetics codes. Chlore Cocktail is inspired by public swimming pools, and will carry the smell of chlorine anywhere.

  • Plateaux de Fruits (de mer)
  • Ceramic & glazing
    2019

It is a set of (sea) fruit trays. It is ¡ not ! made of ceramic tiles. The white tiles from fish shops or kitchens are faked to be applied to tableware.

« I love water, in twenty, thirty years, it will be gone. »
      Jean-Claude Van Damme

These are vases, aquariums, in twenty, thirty years, we will not make any of those anymore. As designers, it is difficult to admit that we make beautiful things for pleasure. Here, we chose to combine tiles and water because they fit well together.

  • Rubrique
  • Paper pulp & pigment
    2018

Rubrique is a set of containers made of newspaper-pulp and pigments, compressed in one single modular mold.

  • Als God in Frankrijk
  • Hand-blown glass, ballpoint pen drawings
    Dutch Design Week, Eindhoven
    2018

« Leven als God in Frankrijk » is a Dutch expression that could be translated into « living in clover ».

This stackable container, inspired by the traditional Dutch old genever bottle’s shape, is a set to emphasize small everyday pleasures.
